Rick Haines

Rick Haines is the founder and president of Hamblin & Haines Homes, where he oversees each project from the earliest planning stages through construction completion. Known for his hands-on approach and commitment to communication, Rick works closely with homeowners to ensure each project is thoughtfully planned and professionally executed.

A native Texan, Rick graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He then spent more than a decade working in real estate on both the commercial and residential side of the business. His experiences gave him a deep appreciation of valuing and cherishing client relationships, thoughtful & intentional design, especially how quality construction plays such an ample role in everyday life and long-term value.

Prior to founding Hamblin & Haines Homes, Rick owned and operated a successful remodeling company in Houston for eight years. During that time, he collaborated with homeowners, architects, interior designers and skilled craftsmen on renovation projects throughout some of Houston’s most established neighborhoods, including River Oaks, West University and Memorial. These experiences helped shape his belief that successful remodeling is about far more than construction — it’s about creating a process that’s organized, transparent and enjoyable for the homeowner.

In an effort to be closer to extended family, Rick, his wife, daughter and beloved Goldendoodle, Sadie, relocated to Dallas. It’s here that Rick founded Hamblin & Haines Homes, with a vision of bringing an intentional, relationship-driven approach to remodeling homes. Drawing upon lessons learned throughout his career, he’s built the company around clear communication, thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship and a genuine commitment to serving clients well.

The name Hamblin & Haines reflects two family names that have shaped Rick’s life. Haines is his family name, with whom he has a strong legacy of hard work and entrepreneurship as displayed by Rick’s dad, a career Dentist with his own practice for over 40 years. While Hamblin was Rick’s Grandmother’s maiden name, and remains his middle name today. Together, they represent the values of integrity, stewardship and attention to detail that continue to guide the company and every client relationship.

Outside of work, Rick enjoys attending home tours, exploring Dallas neighborhoods with his family, possibly hitting some golf balls (when he can fit it in) along with studying the architecture and design details that make Dallas homes unique. Whether it’s walking through a historic Park Cities home or admiring timeless architecture in Lakewood, he is continually inspired by the homes and neighborhoods that make Dallas special.
